September Roundup
Well we are 10% of the way through the school year, not that I’m counting. Things are rolling along nicely and the students are getting in to the groove of classes and art making and generally getting things done.
Your friendly neighbourhood webmaster has been spending most of his time in the printmaking and photo studios. Good things are afoot there. We are well underway in our series of three in specials. The foundation classes are already printing and making a beautiful mess.

There is some great work happening at the senior level in the painting studio. It is great to see some big canvases and lots of mess in there. I think we will be seeing some special work there.
Photo is coming along. With the absence of Steve Kerr, the department is at a bit of a loss. Students are picking up the slack though and getting down to work. They are smack dab in the middle of a series of 3 project.
Thats all for now.
New Site – Bealart.com
As the webmaster, I have decided to go with a WordPress backend for Belart.com. It gives us new functionality that the old site, which was written by me, did not have.
- New features include an HTML/AJAX gallery system.
- A user comments component.
- RSS feed
- More image control in posts and pages
I hope that folks are OK with the new changes and are excited to use the new features. Thanks to Steve Kerr for all his hard work and effort on the site from last year. Without his work, the new site would not be possible.
Thanks
Mr. Heene
