Art History

Art History and Criticism is a component of the bealart programme. We offer the aforementioned in a large classroom that is ideal for theory sessions and houses a large collection’ of several thousand art books and slides that constitute our art library, available for all art students for research. Formal art criticism, in the form of written critiques, class discussion that art in context and art appreciation are goals of the Art History area. As well, this programme provides a useful tool in the carryover to studio areas for research and critical analysis.
