Drawing
The Bealart Drawing department serves all levels of the Bealart program with courses beginning at the Grade 11 Foundation level and continuing through to Special Art and Art Part-time levels. Concepts related to Drawing and the elements and principles of design form the basis of introductory level courses and as a student progresses through the various levels the Drawing department, a greater emphasis is placed on individual fine art drawing problems. Life drawing, anatomy, and analytical drawing form the subjects for introductory level courses with student directed idea development and sustained drawing becoming the objective by the later years. Students are expected to maintain sketchbook research of their own and historical artists’ work relevant to drawing.
